Summer is a nationally certified Pilates trainer through the Pilates Technique Certification, and has attended Yoga Works & Yoga Wests continuing education trainings in Santa Monica, CA. Recently, Summer finalized her Gyrotonic Training w/a Rehab Focus for Dancers in Los Angeles. Summer is also a member of the Pilates Method Alliance. She also graduated from WVU with a bachelor’s in Health Communication. Summer has made it her mission to train, educate and help clients improve their posture by allowing them to grow stronger through strengthening and toning their core and the posterior/backside of their body. Summer grew up in an active outdoor community in West Virginia, and was heavily involved in competitive horseback riding, tennis, dance & gymnastics. She discovered Pilates after a car accident in 2009 that left her with severe back/neck pain (bulging discs/degeneration) that was worsened by a desk job, long commuting, travel and also exercise instructors who did not advise correct modifications for chronic/reoccurring injuries. Summer has over 14 years of experience working and teaching in the healthcare industry. Her medical consultant/partner is a Board Certified NeuroRadiologist, M.D. who she consults with when building a tailored and customized plan for all of her clients. MRI’s, CT’s and X-rays can be reviewed at no charge to help start a dialog on exercise treatment plans around chronic injuries.
