I enjoy getting to know each client’s goals and special needs over the phone, first. Then, inviting then to a 30 minute complimentary introduction tot he studio for a proper postural analysis so I can learn their strengths and weaknesses.
I have been instructing for almost 20 years holding certifications in 3 different methodologies of Pilates. I’m also certified in: Pilates for Kidz, Pre/Post natal Pilates, Bootylates, Spinning and I have competed in 3 fitness competitions. One of the things I take pride in most owning and operating Body in Mind is how picky I am when hiring instructors. I have a compassionate and extensively trained staff.
Over the years I’ve learned to accommodate and respect everyone’s financial situation. This is why Body in Mind offers such a wide-variety of classes and packages so people can focus on bettering their health and wellness today in efforts to prevent medical bills tomorrow.
As an over-weight youth, I desired to be athletic and physically fit so I trained myself and changed myself. Once I tried Pilates, the rest was history! I was so impressed by the results and how good my body felt that I knew I wanted to teach this method. My passion continued to grow after working with so many different body types and seeing them all make improvements: mommies-to-be, children, athletes of all ages, cancer survivors, the elderly and even people suffering from anxiety and depression. I realize the importance of focusing on more than the physical. We help clients find balance between their physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies.
I’m reminded on a daily basis why I love doing what I do. Clients gain self-confidence, they stand taller, feel better, cure sickness and disease and become happier individuals just from showing up to their classes and sessions.
I strongly encourage anyone who is entrusting their body in the hands of a Trainer/Instructor to check their credentials, find out how long they’ve been teaching health and wellness and if their philosophies fit their personal needs. After all, we only get one body in this lifetime and we need to keep it healthy, strong and injury free!
